Karaoke, anyone? Set to arrive in early 2026, the Jaecoo J5 is a small SUV from Chery’s sister brand and will be available in three different powertrains including 1.5L turbocharged petrol, hybrid and fully electric.

It's rugged yet refined, with an upright stance, minimalist cabin featuring a 13.2-inch infotainment touchscreen and an impressive storage space of 480L behind the rear seats.

The J5 is a great choice for families and pet owners thanks to innovative anti-bacterial and anti-scratch organic silicone seat coverings that keep the interior fresh and clean with heavy use.

Its quirkiest feature? The Jaecoo J5 also has an in-built karaoke function with optional wireless microphones for passengers who dream of being rock stars on tour.

BYD Sealion 8

Large SUV: BYD Sealion 8

BYD’s newest (and first seven-seat) large SUV, the Sealion 8 is already tipped to become one of the brand’s bestsellers when it arrives in early 2026.

Only available as a PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle), the Sealion 8 will come in two variants, including the powerful DM-P (performance) system that uses a two-motor AWD system to deliver a huge 400kW of power, with a larger battery and fast-charging capability to produce impressive electric-only range.

Inside, tech meets luxe, with a 15.6-inch central touchscreen, multiple driver-assistance features, a 21-speaker sound system and the ultimate luxury of front and rear massaging seats in the Premium AWD model.

The Sealion 8 will be well suited to larger families who value performance and tech for daily errands. It is beautifully built to deliver all the advantages of EV driving with the convenience of petrol backup for fuss-free longer trips.

Medium SUV: Toyota RAV4

Medium SUV: Toyota RAV4

The 6th generation of Toyota’s best-selling RAV4 is new in all the right places. It boasts an all-new design and a broad new range of model variants, including 2WD, AWD, hybrid and plug-in hybrid. There will even be a new performance-centred GR Sport plug-in hybrid with wider track, sport styling and suspension. The first new RAV4 hybrid is expected to arrive around March 2026, with the plug-in hybrid models expected between July and September 2026.

It's got a stylish new look, but it’s what’s on the inside that is set to impress. Every RAV4 will include next-generation Toyota Safety Sense – Toyota’s advanced safety detection suite with extra tech including front cross-traffic alert for improved intersection safety, a 3D panoramic parking camera and the convenience of automated parking via your smartphone.

Like its (many) predecessors, the new RAV4 is the go-to SUV for families looking for a sleek mid-size vehicle that sips fuel and never misses a beat. It’s always up for a weekend road trip, daily commute or even the odd towing job.

Ute: Nissan Navara

Ute: Nissan Navara

A new generation Nissan Navara is set to hit Australian roads by the end of Q1 2026. The Navara has long been a favourite of tradies, keen off-road drivers and those who just like being able to load up the tray for sports, DIY and camping. And where the previous model shone, the new Navara dazzles, with a completely fresh look, new 2.4L twin-turbo diesel engine and a choice of grades, with all models now 4x4 and automatic transmission to reflect the vast majority of demand.

Higher-grade models feature a Super 4WD system with seven drive modes, an electronic rear differential lock, and a solid rear axle built for serious capability. On top of that, the Navara has been given a local suspension tune by Premcar, ensuring it handles Australian roads and conditions like a pro.

There’s no change to capability, with 3,500kg braked towing capacity and minimum 950kg payload.

Every model gets a good bump in safety features including Around View Monitor as standard.

And for those who want even ‘MORE’, the new Nissan Navara will also be covered by the Nissan MORE ownership program which offers up to 10 years/300,000km warranty.

The result is a Navara that’s as capable, practical, and rugged as ever – now sharper, smarter and more suited than ever for both work and play.

Compact EV: Kia EV4

Compact EV: Kia EV4

Looking for a stylish, mid-size EV with solid range? The Kia EV4 lands in Australia in early 2026, with Base and Long-Range variants in both fastback/sedan and hatchback forms.

The base model is expected to offer around 430km of range, with up to around 630km in the Long Range version. Both battery options support 400V DC fast charging, taking the battery from 10–80% in roughly 30 minutes.

Despite its compact footprint, the EV4 offers generous storage – up to 490L in the fastback body style – without sacrificing its sleek silhouette. Inside, there’s plenty of tech, including a digital key that supports up to 15 devices, plus in-car streaming, gaming and even karaoke while you’re parked.

Kia has also loaded the EV4 with the latest safety and driver-assist features, such as a 360-degree camera and remote auto parking, making it ideal for small families and daily commuters seeking a balance of comfort, efficiency and all the modern conveniences of an EV.

Luxury SUV EV: BMW iX3

Luxury SUV EV: BMW iX3

The new BMW iX3 is set to arrive in mid-2026 as BMW’s first ‘Neue Klasse’ model — introducing a sleeker, more aerodynamic design language with vertical kidney grilles, flush door handles and a clean, modern silhouette.

Not just a piece of exceptional design, the iX3 brings serious EV credentials with an estimated 805km range for fewer charging stops and supports 400kW DC fast-charging that can add 350km of range in just 10 minutes!

The BMW iX3 will also attract wider appeal thanks to the innovation of ‘V2L’ (Vehicle to Load) power output functionality, allowing you to power tools, camping gear or appliances on the go. Coffee connoisseur? Take your own machine!

Inside the iX3, the driver-focused and luxurious cabin features a new Panoramic iDrive display working alongside a large touchscreen, while an onboard ‘supercomputer’ optimises the drivetrain, braking, energy recovery and suspension.

The BMW iX3 suits tech-minded travellers with an active lifestyle who want style, luxury and space on long distances, with a few ‘wow’ moments along the way.
