Kia K4 sedan
Expected arrival date: Between Jan and March 2025
Kia will be introducing a whole new model for Australian drivers with the arrival of the new Kia K4 compact sedan in early 2025. The K4 is ideal for buyers seeking sedan space, comfort and driving dynamics, with small-car practicality and fuel efficiency – wrapped in Kia’s futuristic new design language. Sleek and stunning on the outside with hidden rear door handles and ‘hanging’ LED lights, the K4 will be available with both non-turbo and turbo-charged engine options, topping out with the GT-Line which will offer the highest spec and a pleasingly sporty drive.
Inside, the K4 will feature dual 12.3-inch widescreen displays with the latest infotainment system including wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. The K4 will provide fantastic rear legroom and headroom, with 413L boot space. And for drivers who want an even more compact ride, it is also expected to arrive in hatchback later in 2025 – watch this (small) space.
Audi Q6 e-tron
Expected arrival date: Early 2025
The highly-anticipated Audi Q6 e-tron Premium Electric mid-size family SUV is set to be the perfect EV for regular travellers, boasting up to an incredible 625km of driving range and luxurious onboard comfort.
It features all-wheel-drive, five seats, and can swallow plenty of luggage thanks to a generous 526L boot and 64L frunk. Clever storage for the charging cables also helps maximise interior and boot space.
The Audi Q6 e-tron is expected to have a massive 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen that runs like a modern tablet – smooth, snappy and responsive. It will also have built-in games to play while you charge – which you can do in just 21 minutes from 10-80% charge at an ultra-fast charging station.
There may also be the option for a built-in 10.9-inch personal passenger screen to make those longer drives even more enjoyable, while the excellent AR head-up display effortlessly guides the driver to your destination.
Hyundai Inster
Expected arrival date: Jan – March 2025
Easy urban EV living will get a boost of personality with the launch of the all-new Hyundai Inster in early 2025. Hyundai’s cute and quirky ultra-compact newcomer is an affordable, individual, city-sized EV. Great for inner-city living or as a second household car for the commute during the week, the Inster has a small footprint, four seats, and initial claims suggest it can charge in around four hours on a home wall box charger.
It’s expected to be available in two EV engine sizes, with the Long Range option providing up to 355km of driving range – enough to easily satisfy most city commuters for a week on just one charge. The Hyundai Inster will also come with the convenience of phone-as-a-key option.
New Volkswagen Tiguan
Expected arrival date: March – June 2025
The next generation of the popular Tiguan SUV from VW broadens its appeal even further with a new range of variants. Perfect for those looking for a high-level spec plus German reputation and performance – all at a fair price.
The new Tiguan retains its timeless look while the vehicle underneath boasts a lot of upgrades, including an entirely new suspension, upgraded chassis, and a more sophisticated tech platform with large screens and new software.
The Tiguan’s new turbocharged engine options do a fantastic job of efficiency and driving power, with power output up to 195kW in the top-range engine. Inside you’ll have 5 seats, more headroom, a larger boot space and a 15-inch central touchscreen. The separate Driving Experience Switch can be used to adjust the drive mode, stereo volume and ambient lighting quickly. It’s the Tiguan you love – now with even more to love.
Chery TIGGO 9
Expected arrival date: Second half of 2025
The Chery TIGGO 9 will herald the brand’s largest vehicle ever – in the form of a highly-affordable option for drivers shopping the large 7-seat SUV category. Similar in size to the popular Kia Sorento and Hyundai Santa Fe, the TIGGO 9 is expected to offer both a turbo-petrol engine option as well as a plug-in hybrid variant that Chery claims will be able to deliver 1,400km from just one tank.
Inside, it will feature a whopping 24.6-inch dual driver’s display and multimedia touchscreen, 256 colour ambient lighting for literally every mood you, your partner and your kids can imagine, and on the outside, an electronic tailgate to make family life a little easier on busy parents.
